Activities and Fun at the
Hogansville Hummingbird Festival
The Hummingbird Festival includes fun for
all ages and a wide variety of interests.
The fun begins two days before the festival
with the charity dinner and silent auction
and continues through the weekend. Here's a
list of all there is to do.

- One month before the festival, Annual charity golf tournament at the Hogansville Golf Club, with great prizes, including a plaque hung at the club commemorating each year's winning team. (Click here for more info or download a signup form from this page.)
- Thursday night before the festival, charity dinner and silent auction - proceeds benefit the festival's annually designated charity; fun with your neighbors and a fabulous gourmet buffet dinner (don't miss the desserts); beer, wine, and soft drinks included; silent auction is optional and fun to browse; music and dancing; beautiful setting at the Victoria Belle Mansion.
- One week before the festival, Charity Poker Tournament, hosted at Hawg Heaven BBQ, co-hosted by Aces and Eights Poker. Click for more info.
- Two weeks after the festival, the Miss Hummingbird Festival Pageant, a preliminary competition for the Miss Georgia and Miss America pageants, will be held just after the festival weekend. Click for more info.
- Main festival hours: Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The whole community is welcome! People drive in from miles around every year.
- Food court! All manner of festival favorites, including local restaurants and groups! Every taste will be satisfied.
- Arts and crafts fair with artisans, artists, businesses, charities, hobbyists, and enthusiasts from around Georgia and around the country! 200+ booths, not even counting the food court and kids play area!
- Kids play area with rides, games, toys, treats, and fun!
- Live music, dancing, and entertainment from multiple stages throughout both Saturday and Sunday!
- Security, first aid, water, bathroom facilities, information desk all in full operation. Volunteers are easy to locate throughout the festival.
- Downtown shops, services, churches, and restaurants open for business!
- Scheduled fun and events around town on Saturday night!
- Annual Golf Tournament at the Hogansville Golf Club.
- Hummingbird Festival Dinner, Dance, and Silent Auction held at the beautiful Victoria Belle Mansion. Catered dinner by Chef Matt Preble of Professional Touch Catering. Music by Chad Goss of DJ's Guitar Shoppe. Bid on auction items including framed art, pottery, unique one-of-a-kind handcrafted items, salon and spa gift baskets and gift certificates, restaurant gift certificates, wine basket, Hogansville Golf Club membership, Legacy Theatre tickets, and more. Tickets are $65 per person. Reception at 6:00 PM, dinner at 7:00.
- Pancake Breakfast 7-10 AM at First United Methodist Church
- Annual Hogansville High School Alumni Flag Football Game 7:00 PM at Hendrix Field, against the Callaway High Cavaliers alumni. Show your Greenwave spirit! 2011 will be the final year for this annual game.
- Each year the Festival also marks the opening of the Hogansville Halloween Haunted House of Horrors at the old Royal Theater. Hauntings begin at 7:00 PM. Not for the faint of heart!
