Everyone in the community is invited to a mainstay of the festival season, a gala event at a premiere historic events facility, located right here in Hogansville. This fundraiser is held the Thursday before the festival, this year being Oct 19, 2017. Tickets are $65 per person, which is a tax deductible contribution to the Hogansville Charitable Trust, a registered 501(3)(c) non-profit. Your ticket includes an incredible spread of chef-prepared salad, entrees, sides, and desserts, plus an open bar of soft drinks, beer, and wine, and first class service by the Victoria Belle staff. Entertainment is always provided and dancing is encouraged. The silent auction is optional and low key, featuring a wide variety of donations from local businesses and residents. It's a great fundraiser, and you can't beat the value for a great night of entertainment. Full tables available! Hawg Heaven BBQ, Saturday DATE TBD
Poker Tournament Fundraiser
Local restaurant Hawg Heaven BBQ hosts the annual poker tournament, with professional tourament equipment and officiating by Aces & Eights Poker. You don't have to be a poker expert, or even a gambler, to enjoy this annual event. Your suggested donation of $40 sets you up with $3,520 in starting chips. $1,000 total prize pool. The tournament-style play (as seen on TV) is social and casual. Poker is never played against a "house," only player to player, not unlike chess. Rebuys and other opportunities to win available. The tournament takes up to a few hours, depending on how deep you make it, and how many tables we start with. There are regularly scheduled breaks, and the tournament staff handle all the details. Great food, drink, and fun in Hawg Heaven's family-friendly restaurant. (They hold church there every Sunday morning!) Proceeds benefit the Hogansville Charitable Trust (your entry fee is tax deductible).
Temporarily on hold
After a seven-year run of successful Hummingbird Festival Golf Tournament events, this event is temporarily on hold. We hope to re-establish this event in future years. Thank you to the Hogansville Golf Club!
