Second year! Our first year in 2017 was a big success. Dogs and owners can strut their stuff Saturday Octobter 13 in downtown Hogansville, GA. The parade is free! No charge for you or your dogs. Everyone has a great time, especially the dogs.
The registration and parade starting point will be at Calvin Hipp Veterans Memorial Park (see map below). The parade will proceed up and down Main Street in historic downtown Hogansville. Parade starts at 11:00 AM. On-site registration starts at 10:00 AM, be you can save time and pre-register online.
We will be awarding prizes for:
Most Resembling Owner
Costumes are encouraged, but totally optional. Lots of people do it, which adds to the fun, but lots of people can't or don't want to, and we want all those people to come too! This event is very family- and kid-friendly, as long as everyone is used to being around dogs. :-) We hope to see you! It's fun. See poster below for phone number to call for more information.
Click here to register for the parade online! Quick and easy.
Not everyone does the online thing. You may also download and print registration form in PDF Format. You can use the mailing address on the Contact page to send in your form, or you can just bring it with you on the day of the event. Bring your form a little early if you can, to be registered before the 11:00 AM parade start time.
Registration starts at 10:00 AM. Whether you are pre-registered or planning to register on-site, we recommend you plan your arrival time based on how much stimulation and play time you and your dog can take. For example, if you get there right at 10:00, you will probably be registered by 10:05, and you and your dog(s) will have 55 minutes of fun before the parade starts at 11:00. That said, if you are hoping to win one of the prizes, it's not a bad idea to be there a little early, to give the judges time to notice you before the parade starts.
Please help make this a fun and safe event by following a few rules:
Donations of supplies or water are most welcome, as are sponsorships and partnerships with local pet-related groups or businesses.
